Brian Burke, President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the club has acquired forward Fabian Brunnstrom from the Stars in exchange for forward Mikhail Stefanovich.
Brunnstrom, 25, was originally signed by the Stars as a free agent on May 9, 2008. Since the 2008-09 season, the forward has played in 99 NHL games for Dallas collecting 40 points on 19 goals and 21 assists. In 37 games this season with the Texas Stars, Dallas? AHL affiliate, he has accumulated 11 goals and 10 assists for 21 points, along with 16 penalty minutes and a plus four rating. Brunnstrom is expected to join the Toronto Marlies for their game on Friday at Abbotsford.
Stefanovich had played this season for the Marlies, Reading (ECHL) and most recently Minsk (KHL). The Leafs originally drafted Stefanovich in the third choice, 98th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Rangers Get Wolski From Coyotes
Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has acquired forward Wojtek Wolski from the Coyotes in exchange for defenseman Michal Rozsival.
Wolski, 24, was originally selected as Colorado?s first round pick, 21st overall, of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He has registered six goals and 10 assists for 16 points, along with 10 penalty minutes in 36 games with Phoenix this season.
Rozsival, 32, has registered three goals and 12 assists for 15 points, along with 22 penalty minutes in 32 games this season. In 10 NHL seasons, Rozsival has registered 60 goals and 181 assists for 241 points, along with 535 penalty minutes in 669 career regular season games with the Rangers and Penguins.
Stars Get Langenbrunner From Devils
The Stars acquired veteran winger Jamie Langenbrunner from the Devils on Friday, according to an ESPN.com report.
The Devils will receive a conditional third-round 2011 draft pick in return.
Langenbrunner, 35, is earning $2.8M this season. He's an unrestricted free agent July 1, and with the season at about the midway point, the Stars will be responsible for about $1.4M of his salary.
Ducks Send Smith To Jackets For Guenin
The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Nate Guenin from the Jackets in exchange for center Trevor Smith.
Guenin, 28 , appeared in three games for Columbus this season, going scoreless with two penalty minutes, while averaging 14:47 time-on-ice.
Smith, 25, appeared in 35 games with Syracuse (AHL) this season, scoring 12-15=27 points with 16 PIM. Smith led the Crunch in scoring, goals and assists and ranked tied for fourth in appearances.
Lightning Acquire Roloson From Isles
The Lightning have acquired goaltender Dwayne Roloson from the Islanders in exchange for defenseman Ty Wishart tonight, Vice President and GM Steve Yzerman announced.
?In this trade we give up a promising, former first-round pick. We wish him luck in the Islanders organization,? Yzerman said. ?In Roloson we have acquired a proven, veteran goaltender who will provide stability in net.?
Roloson has played in 20 games with the Islanders this season, posting a 6-13-1 record, a .916 save percentage and a 2.64 goals-against average. He leads all New York goaltenders each category as well as games played.
Ducks Send Festerling To Montreal For Lapierre
The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired center Maxim Lapierre from the Canadiens in exchange for defenseman Brett Festerling and a fifth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Lapierre has appeared in all 38 contests for the Canadiens this season, scoring 8 points with 63 penalty minutes. He led the club in both hits (104) and PIM.
Selected by Montreal in the second round (61st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Lapierre has appeared in 293 career NHL contests, scoring 40-40=80 points with 284 PIM.
Festerling has appeared in 32 contests for the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL this season, scoring 3-9=12 points with 41 PIM. He appeared in one contest for Anaheim this season, going scoreless.
